The Institute of the Sisters of Our Lady of Good Counsel of Mbarara – Uganda carryout its apostolate in different Localities: In Uganda we are in Mbarara Archdiocese, Kablae Diocese, Fortpotal Diocese, Hoima Diocese, Kasese Diocese and Kampala Archdiocese.  In Tanzania you can find us in Bukoba Diocese, Kigoma Diocese and Tabora Archdiocese and Rwanda we are in Byumba Diocese.

As an Institute we are grateful to God for the apostolates / ministries endowed to us:

• Health centres and Hospitals

• Accountants and Secretaries

• Counseling / Social work

• Agriculture / farming

• Knitting and Sewing

• Sacristy
• Retreat Giving

The mark of Ministry considers apostolic works that are appropriate for the Institute to undertake in order to fulfil its Vision taking into consideration the signs of the time.     

“Among the many works of the apostolate and of charity, we choose the following:

1. Training the youth and adults in the knowledge and practice of Christian religion using all those means which are available and conducive to an authentic Christian     witness in private, family and public life.
2. Offering preventive and curative services to people in villages, health centres and hospitals.
3. Taking an active part in educational, social and human development programmes, particularly in rural areas within the country and outside”. 
4. We also provide services in various offices, preach/guide retreats, do counselling, Church care and other supportive ministries as needs come up.
